Sunday afternoon
As I am walking back to my apartment I think I could get in my car and drive the two blocks to the store or I could just walk it. I walked it because really the temperature has climbed considerably since the beginning of the week. So really why shouldn't I walk. The real point of this is that I noticed while checking out that I am a little tipsy and everything seems a little swayie. I know why I am like this my question is why are the people working at the grocery like that. I swear all the employees where just stumbling around like they were drunk. Not really paying attention to anything they are doing. Which would explain why my loaf of bread is only two inches wide in the middle. I just shake my head at the people and move on.

Well we made it. Pt 1
So that was our half day in Vegas. I believe we also gambled and drank some more but really I was drinking so I claim no responsibility for my actions.
Thursday was a day of shopping and getting ready for the party that night at Risque. I did splurge a bit while shopping but I feel I did a relatively good job of not over spending. I even took a pair of Diesels back because they really didn't work with what I was wearing. Yea, I know who knew it was physically possible for me to return shoes. I did need mom to do a little hand holding for it but I made it through unscathed. Anyway, we got all dolled up to head to the party where there was to be an open bar from 10-12. The cover was $25, but that all went to charities and really I am sure I can down $25 in booze in 2 hours. That was until I saw the line at the one bar with only 3 bartenders. There was probably 300-400 men there. This was just poor planning or perfect planning if they didn't want to shell out for 2 hours of free hooch. After being in line without moving for 20 minutes I said fuck it I don't need a drink that bad and wondered. The Bar was small for the event. The place is probably very comfortable with 150-200 max, but we were way over that. Blanche god love her brought me a drink, 45 minutes after we got there. It was fine but weak. Then the show started and people moved away from the bar so FN and I decided to get back into the frey to get more to drink. It was rapidly becoming Midnight and felt we need to suck this place as dry as we could. Still with many people gone it was hella busy. Some fuctard tried to shove me out of the way at the bar. Karma is a bitch girls just remember that. I as I am standing at the bar waiting for the extremely busy bartender to get free. I notice the guy on my left had been there for a very long time waiting to get an order. The asshole on my right was trying to shout his order to the bartender, effectively cutting us all off. He had cut once before so I wasn't about to let him again. I turned on my teacher voice and shouted over him that the guy next to me had been waiting longer and needed to get his order in first. The jack hole to my right scowled at me, and I shot him a look that said "Look bitch I had 3 older brother growing up, don't think you scare me. I ain't afraid to break my nails." He kind of backed down at that point. After the guy on the left got his order in I and the shithead placed ours and the bartender said "We have gone to a cash bar so you will pay for those." I had ordered just one, but the cunticle next to me order 4 beers and there for had to shell out quite a bit of cash. I was so pleased that the jerk had to pay and all his pushing and shoving was for naught, that I didn't care that I had just paid $11 for a weak ass drink.
We kind of took off from there. I was bored and tired. I had done my good deed for the day and felt I deserved a rest.
Well I will fill in on the rest of the trip later. But for now I will say I had a good time over all.

Mental note
Anyway so drunk shopping. Yea, all I have to say is I believe my list of items will be example enough. Humus, deli chicken, olives, pringles, Frozen pizza, Tyson's popcorn chicken, and sour cream. I am not really sure what I was going to do with all of that, and I really don't know what I did with all of that. Before you get excited and think I ate it all I didn't. Everything was untouched except the humus and the pringles. I can only surmise that I sat and ate pringles dipped in humus. The only thing I really remember about the shopping experience was that I was saying "Oooooooooooo, I love (insert item here), I think I am going to bye that." Thank god there were not that many people in the store at the time.
There you are lesson learned. Please learn from my mistakes don't make them yourself.

An Open letter
So here we are again. This time I did not leave you to your own devices. I was to be in complete control until you staged a coup. Kudos to you, honestly I hadn't realized that I didn't eat much that day and the one celebratory Jameson would be fine to start the evening and then back off. No you knew better that after one I would be a bit groggy and you could take advantage of that and order me another, by that time I was completely checked out. God knows what I said last night . The vocal cords were to tired this morning to relay any information which leads me to believe I was talking a lot. Let us both pray that I wasn't just talking to myself.
Let me get to my next point after checking in with the vocal cords I went to see if the mouth had anything to say. Well I couldn't because it reeked like the smokers lounge at Philip Morris HQ. So now I must asked the question who gave me the cigarettes. People we have been over this time and time again, I mean I did a power point. When I am drinking and ask for a smoke you say "No". Lie and say you don't have anymore, whatever I don't care just don't give them to me.
People, people, people we need to stick to the program. I will not have another repeat of Spring Break 08. I just got the liver speaking and out of the fetal position. Granted it's only mumblings but that is better than the catatonic state it was in just last week. Two reasons this can't work. 1 I physically can't take and 2 financially I can't take it. That and waking at 9:00 this morning not hung over but still drunk. I just showered I had a lot to do today and now that is shot to shit.
I am not trying to be over dramatic but if we do this again and I get drugged and taken out of the picture, I quit. Just so you know.
Now lets pull ourselves together and get some healthy food to eat instead of Burger King that was suggested in the committee meeting. What are you doing with that bottle of ether?
Sincerely
Your Better Judgment

Where am I
We left there and ran up to the Varsity. This is a bar I have been in once and has always been referred to as where gay men go to die. When they're youth and money have all been spent this is where they end up. Having looked around I could see that. It's a nice enough place but the sheer amount of smoke in the air makes me not want to go back for a while. We were there long enough for us to have a few cocktails and for Blanche and Romeo to sing a song each. I did however pick up a volunteer for the Parade committee. So not a total waste.
Now it was time to head off to the petting zoo. Now again I want to reiterate I was just kidding when I had mentioned drink and drown on Sunday evening. But alas there I was with a stripper who was 10 years my junior grinding away for a $ and I really just wanted him to go away. Blanche gave me the dollar I am sure in hopes I would do something with it to entice the boy I used it to let him know he could leave anytime now.
Now I am all for people doing what they need to to make a living and I don't begrudge people fulfilling a fantasy doing this as well. But, I have never really found it to be a turn on and really just creeps me out more than anything else. I do not frequent the Hornicorn that often and by that I mean it is like years in between visits. One of the last times I was there I was sitting at a table and a dancer comes up behind me and starts dancing on me. I turn my head and say "I have no money to give you." "It's not about the money baby." He stays for about five more seconds just to prove to me it's not about the money and then goes about his business. I turn and say "Tell your friends."
Why do I go. well a $5 cover and penny well drinks. That is incentive enough for me. But again I also have no problem spending money so it may take another 3-4 years to get me back there.
Romeo and I leave the petting zoo and run up to Gregs where we have yet another drink and play some pool. Over all a good night I was dropped off at home and went to bed and crashed.
The End

100 here I come
So I have purged today, in my quest to get my life back under some semblance of control I purged my closet. Many clothes I have been hanging on to since college if you can believe, I have boxed up to send to goodwill. I actually , I counted, got rid of 26 sweaters I still have 21 but I did get rid of a lot. I also got rid of 2 grocery bags of tshirts, polos and dress shirts that I have not or ever will wear again. the fact that I have two huge closets in my bedroom and they barely contain my wardrobe really means I need to cut back. My friend Sarah when we were in college once said she only needed 3 outfits to survive, I don't know about that but I could stand to have less. After helping friends move last weekend I thought, I really don't want to have to move all of this shit again. So thus a great purge. I have been binging for years so this feels good. No I have not touched the shoes I did that when I moved a year and a half ago. I will maintain one vice in the way of consumerism and that will be my shoes. And DVDs and CDs and and and ... get off my back!
After all of that today I went to a band competition, you know cause I don't get enough of that on a daily basis. (rolling eyes). The difference here is I had nothing at stake. really every other week I don't either. I don't know I spent most of last week doing the rehearsals on my own and it was nice. I really felt like if I was there all the time they would be very disciplined and do very well. but the the idiot comes back and she undoes everything I did. Ah well. I am so getting over it. Note how little I have talked about her lately. I am just trying to let it roll off my back it's cheaper than therapy and medication.
*Warning* *Warning*
I need male contact soon. I just crave a little affection. Ok a lot. I am tired of being alone, I can do it that is not the problem I just really want someone around. Granted I am not sure I am totally prepared for that I have become too used to being alone I think. It would be hard to have someone around a lot but I am at a point I am ready to try again. It's just very difficult. Right now I would settle for someone to lie naked with for awhile. Granted I would like to at least like that person but you know with each passing day that is becoming less of a requirement.
So yea I am drunk and I wish my 100th blog entry was a bit more witty, a bit more insightful and maybe punctuated and spelled corectly but really that's my life always wanting more but finding the timeing to be bad. Don't get me wrong I am happy with my life don't think I have gone off the deep end. :)

Boobs to the left of me Boobs to the right.
Now as many of you may or may not know I am not a fan of bars. I am even less a fan of seedy bars. The 10 in Indianapolis is one I would call seedy. The fact that you have to be wanded before entering tipped me off. But when Xena said she wanted to go there for her 30th I said sure. Of course there was one caveat to all of this; I had to be pretty damned drunk before we got there. And I was. We started the evening with dinner at the Rathskellar. If you have never been and like German food this is a place to go. Great food, great beer and in great sizes. I had two, yes two 32 oz beers. Very tasty. After we spent some time there we wondered down to the Metro and proceeded to drink more. I had moved on to my dear friend Jack of Jack and Coke fame, his friend coke was also there. We had a grand time. Xena's sister had invented a shot called the Molicious and it was. This shot consisted of Southern Comfort, Peach Schnapps and OJ. It was quite tasty and could really sneak up on you if you have too many.
At the metro we met up with some people Xena knew and they were fun and they were also heading to the 10 so we all traveled together. Upon getting to the 10, after the pat down I continued my relationship with Jack. Now the 10 is not only a seedy bar but it is a lesbian bar. I like lesbians some of my best friends are lesbians but don't mess with angry lesbians and that is what the 10 is mostly made up of. I tried to avoid eye contact and just went about my business. At this point in the evening everything became a blur. A few points did stand out, the well lit bathroom for one. If you have never experienced bathrooms at a gay bar let me tell you light is not their friend. It's like the place is serving Mogwais (the cute furry things from the movie "Gremlins"). So when I walked into a lesbian bar bathroom and it was so well lit I was a bit stunned. In my drunken state I believe I commented on this very loudly while in there. Thankfully it was empty, because, well it's a lesbian bar. I really lost count as to how much I was drinking. Xena was sober and staying that way and driving me home so I knew I would be taken care of. The second thing of note was that I believe I was hit on. Honestly I am not sure I don't remember the conversations and they were nice guys so my apologies go out to the two nice gentlemen who talked to me. The last thing and boy was it a doosey was the wet t-shirt contest. It wasn't the contest itself but the girl behind us who prepped for it by taking her shirt then her bra off and standing naked from the waist up in the middle of the bar. I saw breasts. Straight men would have killed to see these. As far as breast go I believe these to be good ones. I honestly didn't care but damn really in a bar. Granted I have seen worse displays before but I wasn't prepared for that. BTW she won the contest.
I don't know what time I got home but I just dropped in my bed and woke around 11 the next day, wishing I had died in my sleep. I really had a good time and didn't get shived even better.

A wee bit tipsy
Again I am sorry if you don't think two men together can be sweet, it's ok I think a guy and a girl is a little gross:) And lets not talk about the unholy union of two women. Just kidding.:)
So there you have it my thoughts on recent gay cinema. It's usually bad at best but for the forseeable future that's the best I get.
Drinks tonight 4 Jack and cokes, 3 cosmos I think my spelling is decent go me.!!!

Pride Day
I didn't march with the band or play with the pep band on the stage. I am really fine with that. I did work the booth while they were playing. I enjoyed it, I am really good at talking to people who are interested in the band I encouraged several people into signing up and coming to the band rehearsal on Tuesday.
My friend FN was bartending at the booze tent and was making some very strong drinks and that didn't help with my sobriety. Overall it was a good day. I will say Booze, Breakfast Casarole and Chinese take out makes one sick just to let you all know.

as for the previous post
just ignore that it was the bitter rantings of a drunk man that denied himself cheese sticks from White Castle last night. I am fine. I should never drink like that.

Here's to low expectations
So I don't really know how many jack and cokes I had but let's just say it was quite a bit. It got so bad I was drinking beer from a pitcher that didn't belong to me. So there you go low expectations and good results.

Drinking
So again last night my friend Jack and I had a good time. I enjoy drinking but this is the second Friday night in a row that I have drank a little too much. My friends and I met and predrinked before heading to a party at another friends. We really were not sure how this party was going to go over. It was a Clue party. The concept in and of itself was a tricky one to get psyched up for. Anyone who knew me in college knew how obsessed I was with this movie. Whenever there was a movie night at Maesto's place it was Clue and something else. Band trips I would bring Clue much to the chagrin of my fellow bandmates. But even with all of that I was a bit trepidous about going. So much could have gone wrong and so very badly. But I must say it was much better than I thought it would. Maybe that was because of the copious amounts of booze in me, who knows but at the time I really meant it when I said that I had a good time.
We went out after that and I again continued drinking. Maybe I should not have but I did. That was the closest I had ever been to passing out from drinking too much. I did have enough sense to put down the drink and take myself home. I am not really sure how I got into bed but there I was at 7:30 this morning still a little drunk. I got up and god knows how made it to the gym. Kudos to me if no one else will say it.
Ah at least with all the drinking I can still get to the gym. A life goal continues.
